Max Bill (Winterthur, Switzerland, December 22, 1908-Berlin, Germany, December 9, 1994) was a Swiss architect, painter, sculptor, graphic, typographic and industrial designer, publicist and educator. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich and at the Bauhaus in Dessau. He was the first rector of the HfG school in Ulm and was part of the Abstraction-Création group from 1932 to 1937. He organized the traveling exhibition Die gute Form (1949). ( thanks Wikipedia )
