Carmen Cólogan (La Laguna, Tenerife, 1959), a graduate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, began her career in the field of artistic creation concerned above all with experimentation and research with matter and its textures, with volume and silence, and with the dual nature of these. After recovering her interest in representation, her work will continue to gather an attractive imaginary of juxtaposed objects, of diverse inspiration, perfect symbols of her own painting; a magnificent excuse to continue painting and researching around those initial concerns, never abandoned, to which color and light (that unreal light, without a defined source, which often emanates from her own objects) will be added as the main defining elements of her artistic personality.
