The Universal Exposition of Seville 1992, popularly known as "Expo '92" or "the Expo", was a universal exposition held in 1992 in the Spanish city of Seville. The official mascot of Expo '92 was Curro, a friendly bird with a beak and multicolored crest.

At the end of the Universal Exposition, the infrastructures have had multiple endings, from those that have been dismantled or demolished because of their own ephemeral construction or because of the danger caused by their abandonment. Those that have become part of other cities, such as the famous monorail that is now in a shopping center in Zaragoza as a great attraction and is currently unused due to the crisis, stopped to avoid adding costs. And others such as pavilions or squares that have been used to be reconverted into the Cartuja Science and Technology Park, managed by the company Cartuja '93, and the Isla Magica theme park, as well as for administrative, university and equipment uses for the city.

This event coincided with the 1992 Olympic Games held in the Catalan city of Barcelona, Spain.
