Dear member/ Dear consociation,
The Christmas festivities are approaching, which will coincide with the closing of the Centenary of our Club, which we have celebrated intensely during one year. For both things I want to congratulate you in the name of all the Board of Directors of the Club and, with regard to these so exciting festivities, I wish you to celebrate them in the company of the family and in the hope of a change of century full of good auspices for all of you.
As we proposed ten months ago, the commemoration of our Centenary has been a great popular and participative celebration that has shown the strong interaction between Futbol Club Barcelona, its city and all Catalonia. It has dominated the sporting aspect in the midst of cultural and social events that have always given a central role to society. And, together with them, the sportsmen and women of today and the past and of all the strata of the Club, since it has been through the effort and loyalty of all of them throughout this century that the blaugrana colors have become the symbol of one of the most important clubs in the world. So that you have a memory and a testimony of this unrepeatable year, the letter is accompanied by a reproduction of the Centenary poster and a commemorative diploma.
The triumph of our four professional teams in their respective leagues has been one more joy to add to this year that ends in a moment full of illusion about the sporting perspectives of our teams in the present season.
I am sure that, from the Centenary, Futbol Club Barcelona will emerge stronger and with growth projects that allow us to consolidate, without any obstacle being able to prevent it, the winning spirit that, as never before in its history, our professional teams are showing. And as always, affirming our independence and the will to keep the ownership and the destiny of the Club in the hands of its members.
As in previous years, the Club celebrates these days its open days, from 21 December to 2 January (except for the festivities of 25 December and 1 January) - from 10 am to 7 pm.
As you know, both members and supporters are invited to visit the facilities, which as last year will be held in conjunction with the celebration of the 14th. For Christmas Esport i Barça, a festive and sporting offer that we hope you will be fully satisfied.
Once again, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2000.
