Carlos Rolando Barcelona 1992 Original Serigraph · Signed & Numbered · 75.8 × 56.2 cm

Original serigraph by Carlos Rolando, signed and numbered, featuring his mosaic-inspired design for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. This is an original screen-printed artwork from a numbered edition, not a poster, and is distinct from the separate 70 × 50 cm poster of the same design.

A classical-style athlete appears beneath the Olympic rings, surrounded by red tessera-like shapes, green foliage and pale blue details. Vertical BARCELONA’92 lettering occupies the right margin. The mosaic effect is part of the image on paper, not physical tiles.

Condition and edition

Condition: 6/10, as recorded for this vintage artwork. Photographs show pronounced paper waviness, creasing and edge wear, including creases in the lower margin near the signature and an uneven right edge. Please examine the detail images for the condition of the actual sheet offered. The work is signed and numbered; the specific edition number and total edition size are not transcribed here. The 1992 date refers to the Olympic Games, rather than a separately verified printing year.

Colour and display

Warm red and muted pink contrast with black, cream, green and touches of blue and yellow. The dense mosaic pattern would create a strong focal point in an eclectic living room, design-led study or art-filled hallway, particularly with dark wood, warm neutral walls or restrained black accents.
