Barcelona 1992 Olympic Poster by Onésimo Colavidas · Rings · 70 × 50 cm · Condition 5/10

Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games poster by Onésimo Colavidas, featuring five large tilted rings in Olympic colours on a light ground. This vertical paper poster measures 70 × 50 cm and is supplied unframed. This particular vintage copy is rated 5/10.

Broad red, green, black, yellow and blue loops overlap diagonally across the upper composition. Their irregular, brush-like edges contrast with the crisp black “Barcelona ’92” lettering below. The Games emblem, a smaller set of Olympic rings and multilingual event text occupy the lower section, with a Telefónica sponsorship credit along the lower-right margin. The printed design credit reads “Onèsim Colavidas”.

Condition and edition

Vintage condition, rated 5/10. The photographs show waviness in the paper and small creases along the right edge, including the upper-right area and near the lower-right corner. The lower edge and left margin also show unevenness and curling. Please review all seven photographs for this particular copy’s surface, margins and corners.

The uneven contours of the coloured rings are part of the printed design. No handwritten signature, numbered edition or specific printing technique is documented for this copy. This listing is separate from other examples of the same Colavidas poster in the store.

Colour and display

Vivid red, emerald green, golden yellow and deep blue are balanced by black and generous light space. The diagonal loops give the simple palette a lively sense of movement, while the black lettering anchors the lower section. This poster would suit a contemporary home office, a bright creative studio or a colourful Olympic memorabilia wall. White walls and pale timber would keep the presentation open; a green plant or a single blue or red furnishing could echo the rings without competing with them.
