Carlos Sánchez Pérez (Ceesepe) began in the world of underground comics in the mid 70's, coming into contact with a series of Barcelona cartoonists such as Max, Nazario and Javier Mariscal, with whom he worked in Barcelona until 1979. He publishes his series Slober in the magazines Star and Bésame mucho. He also made the poster for "Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón" (1980), a film by Pedro Almodóvar.
In 1982, the Menéndez Pelayo University exhibited an exhibition of his work. Two years later, he became one of the best-selling authors of ARCO 84. After leaving the comic, he devoted himself mainly to painting, exhibiting in places like Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva, Bali, New York and Madrid. His work has been collected in books such as El difícil arte de mentir, París- Madrid, Libro blanco or El arte de morir. In April 2011 the Spanish Council of Ministers awarded him the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. thanks to artmadrid.com
